My mission is to share the multiple benefits of yoga with as many people as possible and to introduce them to the breadth and depth of the practice, whether in classes, workshops or in private yoga therapy sessions. I support individuals in achieving their physical and mental wellness goals with an approach that is caring and compassionate, but also direct and focused.
Having spent 25 years in high stress corporate roles, I understand how stress, depression and anxiety can manifest themselves, both physically and mentally, and how a regular yoga practice can help to alleviate it. I initially tried yoga as a last ditch attempt to relieve my chronic neck and shoulder pain and it worked!
My clients include people who are both experienced and brand new to yoga. Many, like me, have often tried a number of medical and therapeutic remedies but have found no relief to their ailments.
I have been practicing yoga since 2010 under the tutelage of several teachers including Don Wenig, Cinda Rierson, Marge LaMothe, Gabriel Halpern & Karen Claffey and am a certified Yoga Alliance 500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher.
I am co-manager of Dancing Feet Yoga in New Buffalo, MI and Website and Social Media Coordinator for the non-profit Go Give Yoga. In my spare time I enjoy cycling, swimming and gardening which also helps me to understand the importance of yoga for athletes and active individuals.
